Under Albanian law, every company must have a registered legal address at the time of incorporation, and must keep that address current for as long as it operates. This address appears in the company’s QKB registration record, receives official correspondence from the tax authority and other government bodies, and is the address used during any regulatory inspection or compliance check. A company without a valid, current legal address is not properly compliant, regardless of where its actual business activity takes place.

What Counts as a Valid Legal Address
Albanian company law requires a genuine, identifiable address — not a PO box or a nominal reference. To be valid for registration and ongoing compliance, the address must be:
- A real, physical location in Albania, capable of receiving official correspondence.
- Available to host a visit or inspection by the tax authority or QKB, if one is ever required.
- Kept continuously current in the Trade Register — an outdated or invalid address is a compliance gap, not a formality.
- Backed by a genuine right of use — a lease, ownership, or a service agreement like ours — rather than an address used without the occupant’s knowledge or consent.

A virtual office is a legitimate, widely used solution for the legal address requirement — but it is not a way to misrepresent your company as having premises it doesn’t have. If your activity is subject to sector-specific licensing that requires a physical location (retail, hospitality, food service, certain regulated activities), the authority responsible for that licence may require evidence of suitable premises separately from your registered address.
